Card Patterns Sketch #2

This is the card I created for the CardPatterns Sketch #2. Since I had that bird patterned paper out from the last sketch, I thought I'd see how it went with the Ripe Avocado cardstock from Papertrey Ink. I think I might like this card better than yesterdays.

Maybe.

This does however show one of my favorite uses of ghost shapes and alcohol ink. I covered the back of the bird with stickles. While still wet I dropped lettuce alcohol ink drop by drop all over the shape until the color infuses all of the glitter. Then let dry. It gives it a nice tint of sparkly color.

Supplies:
Cardstock, Ink & Ribbon: Ripe Avocado from Papertrey Ink & Stamper's select white from Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper: Rob & Bob Studio super slab from Provocraft
Stamp: Thank you (Paper Tray) from Papertrey Ink
Bird ghost shape from Close To My Heart
Icicle stickles & Lettuce Adirondack alcohol ink from Ranger Industries
Brads: stash, possibly from Oriental Trading Company.

Thanks for visiting!
